Lāčplēsis Day (Latvian: Lāčplēša Diena) is a memorial day for soldiers who fought for indpendence of Latvia. It is observed on November 11 marking anniversary of the victory over the Bermontians at the battle of Riga in 1919 during Latvian War of Independence. It is named for protagonist of Latvian national epic Lāčplēsis.
