La Grey Zuliana is a well-known Venezuelan gaita, also known as the "Anthem of the Gaiteros" (Venezuelan gaita musicians). It was composed by Ricardo Aguirre, and first recorded in 1968 by its author with the group Saladillo. According to Arnoldo Hernandez Oquendo, the music and the intro of the gaita belongs to Ricardo Aguirre, but the lyrics to Marcial Valbuena. In addition, a Bass guitar was introduced for the first time in a gaita song.
