Lake Alcacocha[1][2] (possibly from Quechua allqa black-and-white qucha lake)[3] is a lake in Peru located in the Junín Region, Junín Province, Junín District.[1][2] It is situated at a height of about 4,359 metres (14,301 ft), about 3.16 km long and 0.74 km at its widest point.[citation needed] Alcacocha lies east of Lake Junín and south-west of the smaller Lake Yanacocha.[1]
