38°29′N 122°02′W / 38.49°N 122.03°W / 38.49; -122.03 Lake Solano is a reservoir on Putah Creek formed by Putah Diversion Dam, located 6 miles downstream from Monticello Dam on the border between Yolo County and Solano County in California. The lake is 1.5 miles long with a capacity of 750 acre-feet. It serves to divert water into the Putah South Canal to supply agricultural and urban users. [1][2] The lake and the surrounding land is managed for recreation such as picnicking, camping, boating, swimming, fishing, bird watching and hiking. [3] [4] [5] [6]
