The town of Lakselv (Leavdnja in Davvisápmi, Lemmijoki in Finnish/Kven) (70°03′07″N 24°57′36″E / 70.052°N 24.96°E / 70.052; 24.96) is the largest settlement and administrative centre of the municipality Porsanger in the county of Finnmark in Norway. The population was 2,146 in 2009.

Lakselv Airport, Banak is located in Lakselv, with connections to Tromsø, Alta and Kirkenes operated by Widerøe, as well as charter flights in the summer season.

Salmon fishing throughout the summer months is popular, and small golf course also exist.

During the winter, skiing is popular, and there are a number of lit skiing tracks available in the area.

Nightlife is limited, but there are two hotels with bars and restaurants, and a number of bars and some independent restaurants.

There are a number of shops and supermarkets as well as private and public sector services that cater for the town and its surrounding settlements.
