Lakshmana Rekha is a 1984 Indian Malayalam film, directed by IV Sasi and produced by Ramachandran. The film stars Mammootty, Mohanlal and Seema in lead roles. The film had musical score by A. T. Ummer.[1][2][3]

Cast

Plot

Two brothers, Sukumaran (Mammooty) and Sudhakaran (Mohanlal) both love their cousin Radha (Seema). She marries Sukumaran. However Sukumaran had an accident on their wedding night and is paralysed for life.

A psychiatrist recommends that the wife has sex with her brother-in-law Sudhakaran to solve her emotional problems. The paralysed husband, unable to handle this new development, is then killed by his father (K. P. Ummer) in order to end his misery. The father is arrested.

Soundtrack

The music was composed by A. T. Ummer and lyrics was written by Bichu Thirumala.
