Langdon Wayne Goodyear, Jr. (June 13, 1924 – October 4, 2006) was a one-term mayor of Eau Gallie, Florida from December 1955 to December 1956.
He was the son of Langdon Goodyear, Sr. and his wife Sara.[3] He was graduated from Lakeland High School.[2] He attended Florida Southern College[2]
He served in World War II[2] with the 349th Infantry, 88th Division "Blue Devils".[2] He earned the Bronze Star Medal and the French Liberation Medal.[2]
In 1960, he graduated from the University of Florida, School of Pharmacy.[2]
Worked at Coleman's Pharmacy in Eau Gallie,[2] and in 1956, he opened Goodyear Pharmacy[2] at the corner of Eau Gallie and Highland Avenues. He later worked as a manager at Grey's Drug Store,[2] Broward Drug,[2] and retired from SupeRx Drugs in 1989.[2]
He taught Sunday School and Bible study.[2] He wrote poetry and short stories[2]
