Lanre Towry-Coker

Dr. Lanre Towry-Coker (born 1944) is a Nigerian architect,^[1] politician and socialite.

Early life and career

He was born in 1944^[2]^[3] to a Nigerian civil engineer. He is an indigene of Lagos and was also the first and former Lagos State commissioner for works and housing.^[4]^[5] He attended St. Matthias School, Lagos, the Architectural Association School of Architecture and the University of North-East London for his architectural training. He also earned a qualification from Harvard Business School. He established his architectural firm, Towry-Coker Associates^[6] in 1976. He is a Fellow of the Nigerian Institute of Architects.

He married Bisi Towry-Coker but they are now separated.^[4]^[7] He has three children including a son, Olaotan.^[5]
