Lanre Towry-Coker

Dr. Lanre Towry-Coker (born 1944) is a Nigerian architect,[1] politician and socialite.

Early life and career

He was born in 1944[2][3] to a Nigerian civil engineer. He is an indigene of Lagos and was also the first and former Lagos State commissioner for works and housing.[4][5] He attended St. Matthias School, Lagos, the Architectural Association School of Architecture and the University of North-East London for his architectural training. He also earned a qualification from Harvard Business School. He established his architectural firm, Towry-Coker Associates[6] in 1976. He is a Fellow of the Nigerian Institute of Architects.

Personal life

He married Bisi Towry-Coker but they are now separated.[4][7] He has three children including a son, Olaotan.[5]
