Lathar was a daughter of Úgaine Mór, a High King of Ireland during pre-Christian times.[1] Ugaine reputedly gave Lathar a stretch of land along the coast of Aontreibh, from Gleann Airm (Glen Airm) to the Inbhear; what would one day make Latharna.
