Lazo Džepina (born October 27, 1966) is a Croatian former footballer, manager, and businessman. He is currently the manager, and part owner of SC Waterloo Region of the Canadian Soccer League.

Career

Džepina began his career with his hometown club NK Dinara.[1] In 1990, he signed with Rad Beograd of the First League of FR Yugoslavia, and played with FK Borac Banja Luka where he won the Republika Srpska Cup.[2] In 2005, he went abroad to Canada to play with the Hamilton Thunder of the Canadian Professional Soccer League.[3] After his retirement from competitive football he managed NK Dinara in 2010.[4] In 2010, he returned to Canada to manage Brantford Galaxy of the Canadian Soccer League.[5] During his tenure with Brantford he won the CSL Championship by defeating Hamilton Croatia by a score of 3-0.[6] In 2011, he was dismissed as head coach after a string of poor performances.[7] In 2012, he was involved in forming SC Waterloo Region as an expansion franchise, and was appointed head coach.[8] In 2013, he won his second CSL Championship after Waterloo defeated Kingston FC by a score of 3-1.[9]
