Lentheng Helen Mekgwe is the mayor-elect of Ekurhuleni Metropolitan Municipality, South Africa, succeeding Duma Nkosi.

She was previously speaker of the Ekurhuleni Metropolitan Council (2001 to 2008), councillor in 1995, serving as mayor of Nigel (TLC), then served as an ordinary councillor from 2000 to 2001.[citation needed]
