Levolor (also doing business as Levolor Kirsch Window Fashions) is a manufacturer of custom window blinds and shades,[1][2] stock blinds and shades, custom draperies, and drapery hardware. It is a division of Newell Rubbermaid,[3] falling under the business unit of Newell Rubbermaid.[4]

History

The company was founded in 1914 in Hoboken N.J by H.K Lorentzen, (1888–1974) a danish immigrant as a Die cutter left stranded while he came from China. Considered the Henry Ford of the industry who introduced standardization, vertical integration, metal manufacturing and assembly lines concept [5] In 1993, Levolor was acquired by Newell (known today as Newell Rubbermaid).[6]

Locations

Levolor is headquartered in the Atlanta, GA corporate offices of Newell Rubbermaid and has operations in the United States, Canada, Mexico, and China.[5] Consumers can purchase Levolor products from a number of major retailers including Home Depot, Lowe's, JC Penney's, RONA, and other independent dealers and stores.
