"Lift Me Up"
Song

"Lift Me Up" is a song by French DJ and producer David Guetta from his sixth studio album Listen. It features vocals from Norwegian duo Nico & Vinz, and South African choral group Ladysmith Black Mambazo. Ladysmith Black Mambazo sing in Zulu on the bridge, and also provide additional vocals before the drop. Nico & Vinz sing the majority of the song, as they sing in English. It is the only track on the album to feature another language than English. The song is inspirational, which features lyrics of the protagonist trying to tell his lover to help him make the world a better place. It has charted in France.

Background

The song features the vocals of Nico & Vinz on the verses and the chorus, while Ladysmith Black Mambazo is on the bridge and additional vocals before the drop. Nico & Vinz also sing the outro. Ladysmith Black Mambazo's bridge seems to have the same meaning as Nico & Vinz's vocals and lyrics. The song is a highlight from the album, as it incorporates 2 languages in one song, English and Zulu. It is a ballad.
