Limulus is a genus of horseshoe crab, with one extant species, the Atlantic horseshoe crab L. polyphemus. Many fossil species are known, many of which have since been assigned to other genera.[1]

- Limulus darwini Kin & Błażejowsk, 2014- Jurassic, Poland[3]
- Limulus priscus Münster, 1839- Triassic, Germany
- Limulus woodwardi Watson, 1909- Jurassic, England
Tentative species:
- "Limulus" decheni Zinken, 1862- Paleogene, Germany (considered by some intermediate between Limulus and Tachypleus)[2]
