Line 1 is one of the five lines of Metrovalencia. It is the oldest line of the system, opened in 1988. The line has 59 stations with a total of 70.24 km (43.65 mi). This makes Line 1 the longest line of the Metrovalencia, almost four times longer than the second one (Line 5).

On July 3, 2006, an accident occurred in this line, between Jesús and Plaça d'Espanya station. 43 people were killed.
