The above information comes from the Texas State football media guide with a few small edits as noted below.[1] In 1924, Southwest Texas Normal went 5–3, not 4–4 as noted in the media guide. They defeated the Lions of East Texas State 2–0.[2] Milton Jowers was the head coach in 1964. Bill Miller was an assistant.[3] More research is needed to clarify the early years from 1904–1909. Information counter to the Texas State media guide is present both in the school yearbooks of the time and in the local newspapers.
