Loret Fahri Sadiku (born 28 July 1991) is a Kosovo Albanian professional footballer who plays as a defender for Turkish club Kasımpaşa.
Career
Early career
Loret joined IFK Värnamo youth setup in 2003. In 2009, he was promoted to the first team and made his professional debut with IFK Värnamo in the Division 1 championship the Swedish Third Division.
Helsingborgs IF
On 1 July 2011. Sadiku signed to Allsvenskan side Helsingborgs IF.
In Turkish Süper Lig
On 28 June 2014. Sadiku announced to have signed a 3-year contract with newly promoted side to the Mersin İdmanyurdu.[1] On 17 August 2016 Sadiku signed for Kasımpaşa for a fee of €2 million.[2]
International
Sweden
Under-21
On 31 May 2012. Sadiku making his debut after being named in the starting line-up with Sweden U21 in a match of 2013 UEFA Under-21 qualifications against Ukraine U21 and was nominated "Newcomer of the year".[3]
Albania
Sadiku declared to the media that he will play for Albania in the future, since he is an ethnic Albanian and is completing the necessary bureaucratic steps to be available for the national team.[4] On 19 September 2013, he received his Albanian citizenship and was awaiting FIFA's permission to play for Albania.[5] On 15 November 2013, he received his first call-up by Albania's coach Gianni De Biasi for the friendly match against Belarus,[6] but before the join with the Albania was removed from the list due to injury.[7]
Kosovo
On 2 March 2014. Sadiku received a call-up from Kosovo for the first permitted by FIFA match against Haiti[8] and making his debut after being named in the starting line-up.
