The Poetry Society of America's Louis Hammer Memorial Award is given "in memory of Louis Hammer, established by friends of the poet, translator, and editor, for a distinguished poem in the surrealist manner." ^{[dead link]}^[1]^{[dead link]} ^[1]

Each winner receives a $250 prize.^[1]
