Mninwa Johannes Mahlangu is a South African politician. He was active in the old bantustan politics of South Africa,serving as a parliamentarian in the former Lebowa homeland under Dr CN Phatudi. He is currently a member of the African National Congress, and served as the Chairperson of the National Council of Provinces from 2004-2014. ,[1] and a member of the Pan-African Parliament.

Since February 23, 2015 he is South African Ambassador to the United States.[2]
