Location of Mabee's Corners in Ontario

Mabee's Corners is a community located in Norfolk County, in Southwestern Ontario. Mabee's Corners is where a groom with the surname "Mabee" married his bride back in the 1800s. The couple then settled at that same crossroads, and thus they founded Mabee’s Corners.

Back in those days, a marriage could be considered legal if: 1) the marriage took place at midnight, 2) the bride and groom were attired in their nightclothes and 3) the marriage took place at a crossroads.

One of the ancestors living in the area, D Mabee, is a dwarf who runs a motorcycle daredevil circus park.
