Makaral Karthikeya Mudaliar (1857–1916)[1] was a renowned scholar and a poet of 19th century from Veyttur, near Madurantakam. He had authored a number of Tamil books such as Velir varalaatru maanbu, Aathichudi Muthar Viruthiyurai,[2] Tamil Solvilakkam, and Mozhi nool.[3][4]
