Maldras was the king of Galicia between 457 and 459. He assassinated Aioulf in June of 457 and took over his place reigning in the south. Shortly thereafter, Framta, the northern opponent of Aioulf died and Maldras was unopposed. During his reign, conflicts between the local Hispano-Roman populace and the Teutonic elite grew. He himself was assassinated in 459 and succeeded by his son Remismund, though during this time there were several contenders for the throne and the realm was really divided.
