It is endemic to Venezuela.

Its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical moist lowland forests, subtropical or tropical moist montane forests, and rivers.

It is threatened by habitat loss.

The Mannophryne herminae is classified as Near Threatened (NT) on the IUCN Red List.
