"Many Happy Returns (Sherlock)"

"Many Happy Returns" is a mini-episode of the British television programme Sherlock. The episode is available via BBC iPlayer, BBC Red Button service, and BBCs YouTube channel,[1] and acts as a prelude to the third series.[2][3]

Plot

"A series of seemingly unconnected crimes stretching from Tibet to India to Germany. Sherlock Holmes has been gone for two years. But someone isn't quite convinced that he's dead..."[2][4]

Philip Anderson has been obsessed with Sherlock since his death, and tries convincing Greg Lestrade of the possibility of Sherlock being alive by mentioning certain events in Tibet, India, Germany, and other locations. However, Lestrade tells Anderson that Sherlock is most certainly dead. Lestrade goes to visit John, who has moved out of Baker Street since Sherlock's death. He gives John some of Sherlock's old items, including a video message for John's birthday. In the message Sherlock states that he will see John very soon and tells him to have a good birthday without him as he is 'busy'.
