Life

She was born Marie Guillet at Paimboeuf, Loire-Inférieure, and studied with Juliette Peyrol-Bonheur, and with Jean Charles Cazin,[1] whom she married in 1868.[2] She exhibited at the Royal Academy in London 1874 and 1878; at the Salon des Artistes Français between 1876 at 1889; at the Salon de la Société Nationale between 1890 and 1914, and with Les XX in Brussels in 1887. She was active only as a painter in the early part of her career, but exhibited sculptures from 1882.[1]
