Marin Vătavu (born 20 May 1982 in Târgovişte) is a Romanian footballer who currently plays as a Centre back for Chindia Târgovişte.

Club career[edit]

Dinamo Bucureşti[edit]

Being a youth product of the Dinamo Bucureşti, Vătavu enjoyed brief windows of playing time at the Bucharest squad, usually being loaned to Liga II clubs like FCM Câmpina, Farul Constanţa or Universitatea Cluj.[1]

After he left Dinamo, he usually had brief spells at Unirea Urziceni,[2] Pandurii Târgu Jiu,[3] CSM Râmnicu Vâlcea[4] and CS Otopeni.[5]

CSMS Iaşi[edit]

In the summer of 2011 he joined Liga II side CSMS Iaşi.[6] He was released half a year later.
