Career
Escobedo was hired in her first show "En Vivo" (Live) with journalist Ricardo Rocha. She started off interviewing guests to the show ‘behind the cameras’, which meant that she portrayed what people were doing or had to say before or after going on stage. In 1987 she became the first host of a show called Proyeccion 2000 (Projection 2000); later on, she was called to host an entertainment segment in Noticias ECO, a project that would air twenty four hours, seven days a week all over the world. During that time, she was also an anchor with journalist Jorge Berry and later on her own as well as with Jacobo Zabludovsky, with whom she also co-anchored 24 Horas (24 Hours). Two years after Jacobo Zabludovsky left the network, left the newscast and went back to entertainment. Escobedo also hosted the show ‘CE.RE.SO Rojo’ in which she went into jails, investigated, analyzed and interviewed inmates. As a host, she was also a part of El Terreno de Eva (Eve's Territory) among several others on TV; WRadical and La Ampolleta on the radio, and has been a collaborator with several publications. As an actress, Marintia has appeared in television, film and theatre including four years performing Eve Ensler's The Vagina Monologues.
En 2017 regresa a la television via Como Dice El Dicho.
