In Midsomer Market, another beautiful yet deadly Midsomer village, Selwyn Procter's borrowed vintage car blows up . Police soon discover that someone had set this up - another criminal in this dangerous county? The next day, Selwyn's wife Tamsin attends a reading club (which is actually a group of women investing in the stock market) with some other ladies in the village, held by widow Marjorie Empsom. The night after the meeting, Marjorie dies at her home after falling down the stairs. DCI Barnaby and his team realise fell and was subsequently hit with her own walking stick. The villagers are shocked, and even more so when more deaths begin to occur. But one of them out there is a killer...[1]
