Mathew Gates (born June 29, 1975) is a former American competitive ice dancer. He is a two-time U.S. national silver medalist with Eve Chalom. Mathew is former Novice and Junior Champion as well as two-time US World Team member. Mathew is currently a coach and choreographer. He has coached skaters from the beginner level up to the World Championships.

Gates currently works as a coach and choreographer.[1] He is an International Technical Specialist for the United States.[2]
