Maxine Leeds Craig is a professor of Women and Gender Studies at the University of California, Davis (USA). She obtained her Ph.D. from the University of California, Berkeley in 1995. She is the author of Ain't I a Beauty Queen? Black Women, Beauty, and the Politics of Race[1] (online and present in 594 US libraries).[2][3]
