4°15′S 15°25′E / 4.250°S 15.417°E / -4.250; 15.417 Mbamu (also: M´Bamou and Bamu) is an island in the Republic of the Congo (Congo Brazzaville). It is situated in the Pool Malebo, a lake formed by the River Congo and has surface area of 180 km2).[1] To the south lies Kinshasa and to the northwest lies Brazzaville.
