Meic Povey is a Welsh actor, screenwriter and director, and is considered to be one of Wales' leading playwrights.[1][2] He was also one of the co-creators of the soap opera Pobol y Cwm.

Originally from Nant Gwynant, near Beddgelert in Gwynedd, Povey now lives in Cardiff.
