The Memphis Public Library (est. 1888) is a public library serving Shelby County, Tennessee.

The Memphis Public library has a yearly circulation of 250,000 items, offers nearly 500 programs, and serves nearly 400,000 patrons per year. [1] The library has 17 branches scattered throughout the city of Memphis and surrounding areas.[2]

The library also operates a radio station, WYPL.
