Mesonauta festivus, the flag cichlid, is a species of cichlid native to tropical rivers in Brazil, Peru, Paraguay and Bolivia. It can reach a length of 8.2 centimetres (3.2 in) SL. It is also popular in the aquarium trade.[1]
