Bamberger was born and raised in [[Patchogue, New York]]. He first started playing [[golf]] on the public courses in this small town and developed a love for golf in high school. Bamberger attended [[Brandeis University]] and later transferred to the [[University of Pennsylvania]], which he graduated in 1982. He currently is married and lives in Philadelphia.
