Midsund is the administrative center of Midsund Municipality in Møre og Romsdal county, Norway. The village is located on the western end of the island of Otrøya. The eastern end of the Midsund Bridge is located in Midsund, connecting it to the neighboring island of Midøya to the west.[3]

The 0.64-square-kilometre (160-acre) village has a population (2013) of 534, which gives the village a population density of 834 inhabitants per square kilometre (2,160/sq mi).[1]

Most municipal government services are located in this village as well as most private commercial services such as a grocery store, bank, shops, restaurant, and gas stations. Otrøya Church lies about 3 kilometres (1.9 mi) northeast of Midsund.
