The Minister of National Defence of Burundi is the senior political appointee responsible for the BUrundi armed forces

In 2015 Maj General Pontien Gaciyubwenge was succeeded by a civilian. He was replaced as Minister by Emmanuel Ntahomvukiye [fr].[1]
