Moradabad Institute Of Technology (Template:Lang-hi) is an educational institution in Moradabad, Uttar Pradesh, India. It was established in the year 1996 by Moradabad Educational Trust under the Self Financing Scheme of the Government of India.

The Campus extends in an area of 13 acres (53,000 m2) at the banks of Ram Ganga river in a pollution-free environment. It is located five km from the Moradabad railway station, a city which is famous throughout the world for brass art ware and is known as Brass City of India.

Academics

Admissions to the undergraduate course is done through the UPSEE. Admission to the post-graduate programs requires scores in both GATE and an All India Entrance Exam conducted by the UPTU. The institute offers 7 Undergraduate programs in Engineering of four year duration and two Post Graduate programs of two year duration.

Social Networking Connections

A few generous alumni of MIT have created online communities to gather all the past present students of MIT so that they all can interact in real time. This may also be very useful to the current students who can seek the alumni for guidance in their studies and career. A Facebook page has been generated for all the MITians.[1]

Co-curricular activities

Apart from everything, MIT also witness a lot of co-curricular activities. There is a technical fest called "Hi-Tech" in every even semester followed by a cultural night called "Utkarsh".

In the year 2008-09, the then Director General announced to have a Technical Fest in October 2009 after being impressed by a Robotics Workshop in the institute. He also declared that it will continued in the odd semester of following sessions. Students are still waiting hoping that it will come true. But it did not happen in 2009 & there seems no chance of it in 2010 also.

Hi-Tech constitutes a lot of events like Cross-Roadies (crossword challenge), Software & Model Exhibition, Paper Presentation, Debates, Extempore, TurnCoat etc. However a real technical event like Robot race or Coding competitions still lacks. However MIT is developing in all the other spheres, this sphere also needs big attention because it is that makes engineers, the real engineers.
