The Multinational Medical Coordination Centre (MMCC) is a medical coordinating centre in support of the European medical services.
As part of the further development of the Framework Nations Concept (FNC), the Surgeon General of eight medical services of European NATO countries signed on 2 May 2017 at the fortress Ehrenbreitstein in Koblenz a foundation document for a reinforced and sustainable cooperation. By signing their Declaration of Intent (DoI), the senior officers laid the foundations for a common coordinating element of European medical services, the future Multinational Medical Coordination Centre.[1]
Since the beginning of April 2018 the multinational manned unit is placed in the Rhein-Kaserne Koblenz, Germany. The first director is Brigadier General (MD) Bruno Most. [2]
