Myroslava Kot
Myroslava Kot (née Buha, born 1933 in Warsaw, Poland) is a Ukrainian embroiderer, since 1991 the head of the Department of Methodology and History of Ukrainian Decorative and Applied Arts at the Teachers’ Training College in Drohobych.[1] She is a Merited Master of Folk Crafts of Ukraine (1995), and an Honored Citizen of Drohobych (2012).[2]
Myroslava Kot studied Ukrainian embroidery paying particular attention to Drohobych patterns.[3] Her works have been exhibited in Ukraine, Canada and the USA. 19 of her students became Ukraine People’s Masters of Decorative and Applied Arts.[1]
