The Namibia Economist is an online newspaper in Namibia covering mainly economic topics. It is published exclusively in English, Daniel Steinmann is the owner and the editor. First published in 1996 it appeared as a printed weekly newspaper every Friday with a print run of 7000 copies.[1]

Financial difficulties led to an attempted sale in 2015. After no buyer could be found, Namibia Economist published its last printed edition on 25 November 2016.[2] Its web site, established 2001, continues.[3]
