Lieutenant-General Naveed Mukhtar is a three-star rank army general and he is the current Commander of V Corps in Karachi.[1]

Education and background

Lieutenant General Naveed Mukhtar was commissioned in the Armoured Corps regiment in 1983. He is a graduate of the Command and Staff College Quetta, National Defense University Islamabad and War Course USA.He was previously DG CT in ISI and commander of 26 mechanized division in Bahawalpur. He joined the Army at age of 15 in 68 PMA. He grew his ranks till Major with 13 Lancers. Then he commanded 22 Cavalry. He is from the armored corps.

He joined the army as a Junior Cadet in JC-7. He was a Cadet of Iqbal House. General Naveed is famous for his bravery and calmness under any kind of stress or pressure. He has iron nerves and very pleasing personality.[2][3]
