In this Vietnamese name, the family name is Nguyen. According to Vietnamese custom, this person should properly be referred to by the given name Kỳ Duyên.

Nguyễn Cao Kỳ Duyên (About this sound listen; born June 30, 1965) is a Vietnamese-American personality and co-host of Thuy Nga's Paris By Night.

Kỳ Duyên was born in Saigon, South Vietnam and was almost ten years old during the "fall of Saigon" on April 30, 1975, when her family left for the United States. Her father, Nguyễn Cao Kỳ, was a former South Vietnamese Prime Minister, Vice President, and Air-Force General.

Kỳ Duyên currently works as a star Master of Ceremonies for Thuy Nga's Paris By Night production alongside MC Nguyen Ngoc Ngan.

Personal life[edit]

Her first marriage was to Li Nguyen, a surgeon, then Trịnh Hội, a lawyer (whom she divorced in 2008). For the past 3 years, she has been publicly linked to Duy Han, a financial analyst and writer. She currently resides in Costa Mesa, California with her two daughters from her first marriage to Li Nguyen.


Kỳ Duyên grew up in Fairfax, Virginia, before the family moved to Huntington Beach, California where she graduated from Westminster High School. She completed her undergraduate education at California State Polytechnic University before receiving her law degree with honors from Western State University College of Law.[1]
