Nguyễn Cao Kỳ Duyên [About this sound listen]: Born on June 30, 1965 in Saigon, Viet Nam. She is only child of the former Vice President, Nguyen Cao Ky.

Kỳ Duyên was born in Saigon, South Vietnam and was almost ten years old during the "fall of Saigon" on April 30, 1975, when her family left for the United States. Her father, Nguyễn Cao Kỳ, was a former South Vietnamese Prime Minister, Vice President, and Air-Force General.

Kỳ Duyên currently works as a star Master of Ceremonies for Thuy Nga's Paris By Night production alongside MC Nguyen Ngoc Ngan.

Personal life[edit]

Her first marriage was to Li Nguyen, a surgeon, then Trịnh Hội, a lawyer (whom she divorced in 2008). For the past 3 years, she has been publicly linked to Duy Han, a financial analyst and writer. She currently resides in Costa Mesa, California with her two daughters from her first marriage to Li Nguyen.


Nguyen Cao Kỳ Duyên went to school in Fairfax, Virginia during her childhood. Ky Duyen family moved to Huntington Beach, California in her High School years, and she graduated from Westminster High School in Westminster, California. She received her Bachelor of Undergraduate Education Degree at California State Polytechnic University, following Ky Duyen obtained her Graduate Law Master Degree with Honors from Western State University College of Law.[1]
