Nina Katzir (died 1986) was the wife of Ephraim Katzir, the fourth President of Israel.

Biography

Nina Katzir (née Gottlieb) was born in Poland. As an English teacher she developed a unique method for teaching language. As the president's wife, she introduced the custom of inviting children's authors and their young readers to the President's Residence. She established the Nurit Katzir Jerusalem Theater Center in 1978 in memory of her daughter, Nurit.[1] Nina Katzir died in 1986.
