North Bitchburn is a village in County Durham, in England. It is situated to the north west of Bishop Auckland, near Howden-le-Wear.


It had a row of terrace houses named low row consisting of 20 houses. there is also an estate called Wellgarth court consisting of 6 houses opposite low row but raised up above it.There is one public house, a Methodist chapel and one shop .There were also a top road of houses .The public house was named The Red Lion and owned by the Main family.
