Norwegian Museum of Decorative Arts and Design
The Norwegian Museum of Decorative Arts and Design (Norwegian: Kunstindustrimuseet) is a museum in Oslo, Norway. Since 2003 it is administratively a part of the National Museum of Art, Architecture and Design.
History
It was established in 1876 as one of the first of its kind in Europe, and its first director was Henrik A. Grosch. From 1904 it was co-located with the Norwegian National Academy of Craft and Art Industry in a building designed by Adolf Bredo Greve and Ingvar M. O. Hjorth.[1]
