Not Afraid of Life: My Journey So Far is a memoir written by Bristol Palin and Nancy French. The book was released in June 2011.

Background

In 2011, Bristol Palin released a memoir, co-written with Nancy French. Palin wrote about her personal life, including tensions with the McCain family and losing her virginity. The book received mixed reviews. Palin was criticised for releasing a memoir when she was only 20 years old.[1][2]

The book appeared on The New York Times Best Seller list in July 2011.[3][4][5]

Controversy

In 2011, Bill Maher referred to Palin's memoir under the title, "Whoops, there's a dick in me." [6] Sarah Palin later condemned Maher's remarks.[citation needed]
