OTV (Egyptian TV channel)

Orascom TV, better known as OTV, was an Egyptian satellite television channel broadcast on the Nilesat. OTV was owned by Orascom. OTV was launched on January 31, 2007 at 18:30 p.m. Cairo time, and stopped its broadcasting in 2011.

OTV specialized in broadcasting international TV shows and movies.

OTV used to broadcast 24, Extreme Makeover: Home Edition, and "An Hour With Samir Ghanem" (hosted by the comedian of the same name).

OTV was also known for its diverse reports which were featured throughout the day, as well as "Ma'sa'ak Sokar" "مسائك سكر," which literally means "Your Evening Is Sugar."
