Olszyna [ɔlˈʂɨna] (formerly German Erlenholz) is a village in the administrative district of Gmina Trzebiel, within Żary County, Lubusz Voivodeship, in western Poland, close to the German border.[1] It is the site of a major border crossing on the E36 motorway connecting Berlin, Germany with Wrocław and Kraków in Poland. It lies approximately 4 kilometres (2 mi) north-west of Trzebiel, 26 km (16 mi) west of Żary, and 61 km (38 mi) south-west of Zielona Góra.

Before 1945 the area was part of Germany (see Territorial changes of Poland after World War II).
