Oluremi Oyo OON (12 October 1952 – 1 October 2014) was a Nigerian veteran journalist and former managing director of News Agency of Nigeria.[1][2]
Early life and Career
Remi Oyo was born in 1954 in Ilorin, Kwara State, north central Nigeria. She attended the University of Lagos earning a bachelor's degree in Mass Communication and Journalism.[3] She was the spokesperson to chief Olusegun Obasanjo, the former president of the Federal Republic of Nigeria (2003-2007).[4][5] She died in the United Kingdom on October 1, 2014, after losing a battle with cancer[6][7][8] She was laid to rest at the Yaba Cemetery, Lagos[9]
